What Does It Takes to be an ICT-IV Student

           ‘ICT has the potential to act as a force for change in education that is, to bring about changes that will affect learners, practitioners as well as the whole institution.
           Being an ICT student is quite hard. You must be patient and eager to learn. Now that I am leaving the four walls of my Alma mater, I am proud to say that I successfully did it. I have learn so many things and sharpened my knowledge about Information Communication Technology.
           All of this knowledge I've coped will be use on my way to success. Being an ICT-Student is very important because it will serve you as a companion to achieve all your dreams.
            Lastly, I would like to thanks all of the people behind my ICT adventure, Ma'am Veracruz for teaching us, my friends for cheering me and my classmates for helping me when I've encountered some troubles. Thank you !!! :)  

My Dream, My Future

          As I close my eyes, pictures randomly flash on my mind; voices fill my head; a blur of images pass through brain; I feel diverse feeling; I see different faces; my world seems like its spinning and suddenly I can't feel anything.
          Everyone of us had our own dreams in life. And our goal is to achieve it. In my life I had my dream in life. Someday, I want to become a teacher because for me, teacher is the best profession for there is no professional in our generations if there is teachers. And also someday I want to travel around the world, build my own home and have my own family. In achieving my goals in life I have my inspiration, my parents. I want to pay all their sacrifices just to sent me in school.
          Nothing is impossible if we believe in ourselves. We must study well and pursue our dreams. We must work hard for it for we can't buy those things.
         

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival

             The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is celebrated during 29th of January to 5th of February drew local and foreign tourists as more entertaining events had been included in the celebrations.

         Now on its 5th year, the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival had already established its identity as the prime festival of the province. The festival was launched in 2008 under the leadership of then Governor Deogracias Victor B. Savellano to commemorate the 190th foundation day of Ilocos Sur as separate province through the approval of a Spanish Royal Decree on February 2, 1818.

          Through this “Kannawidan Ylocos Festival", we are preserving and sustaining our old traditions, attractive products and practices as we are also promoting our tourism industry.

         According to Governor Luis Chavit Singson, the province has a rich heritage and unique cultures that need to be preserved for the next generations. However, many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano cultures were not already familiar to the younger generations due to the influence of the television, computer and internet.
But,  through  our Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, these traditions, customs and cultures are revived to become more entertaining to give more fun and attractions to the visiting tourists in the province.

         Through our Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, which is the official annual festival of the province our tourism industry was enhanced and helped boost the demand of our products, more job opportunities and livelihood opportunities were crated and more income for our people were generated.

         The festival not only brings us takes one back to the roots; it also enables one to look into the future through art created by children. Their art speaks of their belief in the beauty of the world as gift from the Creator. Their songs and dances outshine any sadness  this present world has thrown at them.

Reflection

“Every ending marks a new beginning”

                Another quarter has ended again, and we are about to face the last quarter of the school year. Before we will go to another quarter I’ve learn many lessons here in the third grading period. These lessons are the HTML tags and HTML links and more. Before, I don’t know all about that but this quarter I’ve learn how to tag. We can use these lessons in making the web page and more.

                I am expecting that this next quarter will be more fun and more exciting. And we will learn more about the web and more.

Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the liveliest time of the year when we hold parties, give and exchange gifts and have family or group reunion. It’s also most expensive season of the year because of the money we spend on decorating our homes and buying gifts and foods.

                Loving people is the greatest gift that we can give. We should do it not only during Christmas but also other times. The amount of gift that we give or receive doesn’t matter. What is important is that the act of giving and receiving comes from the heart. Your act expresses your love and appreciation to the person you deal with. Giving even more admirable when the recipient are poor—the people who really need our help. The true essence of Christmas relies not on the gifts which commands you to spend more but on the love and unity that each one of us should build. “Love all. Spend less. Give more.” Spend less on gifts and more on relationships.

                The happiest moment of giving is when people thanked you. Simple saying of “thank you” is enough. Money can’t buy that feeling particularly if you help someone who can’t repay you anything. So, don’t be shy to extend your hands to someone else. And let’s give love not only during Christmas day but every day. Merry Christmas Everyone.

"Keeping in Mind our Mother Tongue"

English is our universal language. And for me, language is the key to communicate with other people.

We, the Ilocanos, has our own dialect, the Iloco. Before we’ve learn the English language we’ve learn first our mother language. We should always keep this mother language in our mind for this is our first language. When I was young, this was the first ever language or dialect I’ve learn and my parents taught me. Before we’ll learn another language we should learn first our mother language so that it will be easier for us to translate it and it will be easier for us to learn the other language. Even though we will go to other countries and learn other dialects or language. As our national hero said we should love our own. We should be proud because we had our own language/dialect.

Now, I’ve learn so many languages but I’m still keeping our mother language in my mind, I will always remember this wherever I go. There are no wrong in learning other language but forget to keep and use our mother language. For if we communicate to other Ilocanos it will be easier for us to understand and answer them because were using our own language.
